Website speed test

Is your website fast enough to win the job?

Half your customers are on a phone with one bar of signal. If your site takes too long to load, they're gone before they ever see your number. Pop in your website and we'll check its real speed — and tell you what it means in plain English. No signup to see the result.

Just the address — we'll add the https:// for you.

Why speed wins you jobs

Google has said it plainly: most people leave a page that takes more than three seconds to load on a phone. For a tradesman, that's a customer who was ready to call — gone to a competitor whose site loaded first. Speed isn't a vanity metric. It's the difference between the phone ringing and the job going elsewhere.

Questions about this speed test

Is this really free?

Yes. The speed score is free and there's no signup to see it. We build fast websites and lead tools for Irish tradespeople, so a free tool like this is how we introduce ourselves — there's no catch.

Where do these numbers come from?

We run Google's own PageSpeed Insights test against your site — the same engine Google uses to judge speed for search ranking. Where there's enough real-visitor data, we show that; otherwise we run a single live lab test and tell you which one you're looking at.

My site feels fine to me — why does it score low?

You're usually testing it on good wifi on a device that's already cached the page. Your customers are on a phone, on mobile data, opening it cold for the first time. That's a much harder test — and it's the one that decides whether they wait or leave.

What actually makes a tradesman's site slow?

Almost always: huge un-resized photos of your work, a bloated page builder or template, too many plugins, or hosting that's cheap and slow. The fixes are well-trodden — most sites can be made fast without a full rebuild.

What do I get if I enter my email?

The full free visibility audit — not just speed, but your Google profile, reviews, local SEO, directories and lead capture, all scored, with a plain-English list of what to fix first. No spam.
