Accessibility statement
Last updated: 8 June 2026 · Plain English · WCAG 2.2 AA target · EAA-compliant
TL;DR
- · We aim for WCAG 2.2 Level AA on every page.
- · If you hit something that doesn't work for you, email michael@tradeflo.ie — we'll fix it.
- · Known limits are listed below. We update this page when we close them.
1. Compliance level
Tradeflo aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, in line with the European Accessibility Act (EAA), which entered force on 28 June 2025 and applies to commercial digital services across the EU.
We test against AA criteria including color contrast (≥ 4.5:1 for body text), keyboard navigation, focus visibility, form labels, screen-reader semantics, and reduced-motion preferences.
2. What we've done
- Body-text contrast brought to 4.85:1 on the cream background (8 June 2026)
- Visible focus rings on every form input and CTA — never
outline-nonewithout a focus-visible replacement - Server-rendered H1 on every page so screen readers and crawlers get a heading from the static HTML, not after hydration
- Logical heading order on every page (H1 → H2 → H3 with no skips)
- Form fields use visible labels (not placeholder-only) and required-field indicators
- Error messages anchor to the relevant field via
aria-describedby prefers-reduced-motionrespected — GSAP scroll animations disabled for users who opt out of motion- Image
alttext on every meaningful image; decorative images markedalt="" - 4 locales (English, Polish, Romanian, Ukrainian) with
hreflangalternates so screen readers in each language announce the right content
3. Known limits
We're honest about what isn't there yet:
- The cinematic hero on the homepage uses scroll-driven video. Users with
prefers-reduced-motionsee a static poster instead — but we don't yet offer a separate "skip the animation" control. If this is a problem for you, please contact us and we'll prioritise the fix. - Some illustrative diagrams in the FAQ + ToolShowcase do not yet have long-form text descriptions. Email us and we'll send the same information in a screen-reader-friendly format.
- The free-audit PDF report is generated server-side and is currently text-only inside Acrobat — it is screen-readable but not yet WCAG-tagged. We are working on this.
4. How we test
- Automated checks on every deploy — Lighthouse accessibility audit, axe DevTools
- Manual keyboard-only walkthroughs of the homepage, /audit form, /pricing, and /spot-checker
- Periodic screen-reader walkthroughs (VoiceOver on macOS, NVDA on Windows)
- Color contrast verified with WebAIM's contrast checker before any palette change
5. Report a problem
Found something that doesn't work for you? Email michael@tradeflo.ie with the page URL and what went wrong. We aim to acknowledge within 2 working days and to ship a fix within 14 working days for AA-level issues — sooner if the problem blocks a basic task.
You can also WhatsApp +353 87 411 4277 or use the chat box on any page.
6. Enforcement
If you've reported an accessibility problem and aren't satisfied with our response, you can raise it with the Irish enforcement authority for the EAA — likely to be the National Disability Authority (NDA) or the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), depending on the issue. As of the last update of this page, the formal enforcement designation is being finalised by the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth.
7. Standards we follow
- WCAG 2.2 Level AA — the substantive accessibility standard
- EAA (Directive 2019/882/EU) — EU legal framework, in force 28 June 2025
- EN 301 549 v3.2.1 — European harmonised standard for ICT accessibility
